Damon Agapiou

Mini Biography

Damon Agapiou is a camera operator, photographer, and fine artist. His interest in the fine arts was piqued at a young age, as he exhibited a superior natural talent for composition as well as adapting quickly with the use of a variety of tools and mediums.

Damon pursued animation where he was hand selected to be mentored by Sam Singer, an old Disney and independent animator from the 1930’s. During this time, he developed skills in storyboarding, illustration, design, and watercolor painting. After his mentors' passing, Damon was commissioned to create a collection of historical watercolor paintings for the Los Angeles Fire Department. His works can be seen on permanent exhibit at the Los Angeles Fire Department Museum & Memorial in Hollywood, as well as the Harbor Museum “Old 36’s” in San Pedro.

Damon was eventually drawn to the camera and began creating life with stills and motion. His insatiable urge to capture the unusual and unexpected has led him to create an abstract world of light and emotion. With balance in mind, he has also found a love for preserving life and history through the lens.

Damon serves as an Imagineer on the Dimensional Design team and the Concept Lab/Scenic Illusion team at the Walt Disney Company.
